Kyōsuke Suga Launches Manga Adaptation of Yuya Sato's Novel Series

The January issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine revealed on Thursday that Kyōsuke Suga will launch a manga adaptation of Yūya Satō's Tensei! Dazai Osamu (Reincarnate! Osamu Dazai) novel series in the magazine's next issue on December 28.
The novel series centers on famous Japanese novelist Osamu Dazai, author of No Longer Human, who is reincarnated into modern Japan with his scathing sarcasm and dry wit toward humanity intact.
Sato launched the first novel in the series (seen right) with art by Shinobu Shinotsuki (Saga of Tanya the Evil original novel illustrations) in September 2018. The second novel debuted on March 17.
Suga published the Danganronpa 2: Ultimate Luck and Hope and Despair (Super Danganronpa 2 Chō-kōkō-kyū no Kōun to Kibō to Zetsubō) manga on Mag Garden's website from 2012 to 2016. The series received three compiled book volumes, all of which Dark Horse Comics published in English.
Viz Media previously published Sato's Dendera novel under its Haikasoru imprint. Sato also wrote the Danganronpa Togami novel series. Sato's "Gray-Colored Diet Coke" short story appeared in the second English volume of the Faust anthology.
