The July issue of Tokuma Shoten's Comic Zenon magazine revealed on May 25 that Takayoshi Kuroda will launch a new manga with Michihiko Tōei titled Antagonist: Sengo Nihonshi-jō Saiaku no Tero Jiken no Shinjitsu (Antagonist - The Truth Behind the Worst Post-War Terrorist Attack in Japan). The manga will launch in the magazine's next issue on June 25. Tōei is credited with the original story, while Kuroda is credited for the art.
The magazine teases the manga's story as beginning with an incident named the "Bus Passenger Disappearance Incident," which starts the "Heltopia Incident," known as the worst terrorist attack in Japan after the war. The perpetrators of the attack are modified humans.
Haro Aso and Kuroda launched the Imawa no Michi no Alice (Alice on Border Road) manga in Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday GX magazine in August 2015 as a spinoff of Aso's Alice in Borderland (Imawa no Kuni no Alice) manga. The manga ended in February. Shogakukan published the manga's eighth and final compiled book volume on March 19.
Tōei launched The Last Restaurant (Saigo no Restaurant) manga in Shinchosha's Monthly Comic @Bunch in 2011, and Shinchosha published the manga's 10th compiled book volume last November. The manga inspired a live-action series adaptation in 2016.
