The staff of Detroit's Youmacon convention announced on Wednesday that the event will host singer SAWA as a guest.
SAWA debuted in 2007 as the singer and lyricist for the soundtrack of Square Enix's The World Ends with You game. She also wrote the lyrics for the "Train-D" and "Hikari" songs from the K-ON! anime film in 2011. She performed and wrote the lyrics to the "X-Plan" and "Dragontail Butterfly" songs for Konami's GuitarFreaks and DrumMania game series. SAWA also contributed to the lyrics for the "Technoholica" song from the Z/X Ignition anime's soundtrack. She also works as a translator and graphic artist.
Youmacon is also hosting animation director Junichi Hayama.
Youmacon 2017 will be held at the Cobo Center and Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center from November 2-5. The event is the largest anime convention in Michigan and the 10th largest anime convention in North America as of 2016. This year marks the convention's 13th year.
