Coro Coro Comics Characters Gather for Original Net Anime in July

The July issue of Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comics magazine revealed on Thursday that the magazine will launch an original net anime titled 40-Shūnen da yo! Coro Coro All-Star Shōgakkō (It's the 40th Anniversary! Coro Coro All-Star Elementary School) on its YouTube channel beginning on July 15 at 8:00 a.m.
The anime will take place at an elementary school where famous Coro Coro Comics characters go to school. Some of the characters in the cast will make their first anime appearance with the new net anime.
Coro Coro Comics already posts 30-second ads for each of its issues featuring characters from ongoing manga in the magazine in a classroom setting. The ads also air on TV. Below is the ad for the June issue, which shipped on May 15.
The magazine announcement showed the following Coro Coro Comics manga series characters that will appear in the anime:

- Jii-san (Dangerous Jii-san Ja)
- Joe Kirifuda (Duel Masters)
- Pascal-sensei (100% Pascal-sensei)

- Majime-kun (Maji de!! Majime-kun!)
- Jibanyan (Yo-kai Watch)
- Keshikasu-kun (Keshikasu-kun)
- Joker (Kaitō Joker)
- Gao Mikado (Future Card Buddyfight)
- Valt Aoi (Beyblade Burst)
- Sora Hoshino (Yakyū no Hoshi Metman)
- Ace (Puzzle & Dragons X)
The anime celebrates the magazine's 40th anniversary since launching in 1977.
