Kansai TV announced on Wednesday that it will air a new short TV anime titled Buppu na Mainichi as a segment of its mu-Jack television program on March 10. The program airs every Friday from 25:55 to 26:25 (in effect, every Saturday morning from 1:55 a.m. to 2:25 a.m.). The segment itself will be one minute long every episode.
The story will focus on a cat who begins living with 10 dogs, and the animals' busy everyday life. The story draws inspiration from real-life singer Noriyuki Makihara and his pets.
The cast includes Yoshino Nanjō as Dora the cat, Riho Iida as Yunbo, and Ayami Tsukui as Kenta.
Takeshi Onaka (Nukko., Nar Doma) is directing the anime at Kachidoki Studio. Satoshi Kashimura (Chobitto-Zukan, Tama & Friends: Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka?) is the sound director at Spellbound. Words & Magic is credited with production cooperation.
Nanjō, Iida, and Tsukui will perform a cover of Makihara's song "No. 1."
