This year's March issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine announced on Friday that Survival Game Club! creator Hidekichi Matsumoto's new manga is titled Neko Iro Hokenshitsu (Cat-Type School Infirmary). The series will launch in the April issue on March 3.
The manga follows a country girl named Suzu who transfers to a middle school in the big city. When she suddenly has a stomachache, she runs to the infirmary. There she meets an overly enthusiastic doctor who appears to be a cat.
The January issue of Nakayoshi revealed in December that Matsumoto would launch a new series in the April issue, but did not reveal any details.
Matsumoto began Survival Game Club! (Sabagebu!) in 2011 and ended the series in December. The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series and an OVA episode in 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for North America. Sentai Filmworks released DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions of the anime in September 2015.
