The official website of the Nanbaka television anime announced new cast members for the anime on Saturday. The new cast includes:
Hiroshi Yanaka as Okina Otogi
Shizuka Okohira as Kazari Otogi
Yō Taichi as KAGU-8 (pronounced Kaguya)
Daisuke Kishio as Elf

The anime premiered on October 5. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan. Funimation will begin streaming an English broadcast dub for the series on November 5 at 10:30 p.m. EDT.
The anime adapts Shō Futamata's Nanbaka manga. The original manga centers around four prisoners: Jyugo, a man who attempted to break out of prison and ended up extending his jail time; Uno, a man who likes to gamble with women; Rock, a man who likes to get into fights; and Niko, a man who likes anime. Along with their warden Hajime, the high-tension action comedy story unfolds.
Shinji Takamatsu (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, School Rumble, Gintama) is directing the anime, with scripts by Mitsutaka Hirota (The Prince of Tennis II, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation).
