Demon Gaze Fantasy Dungeon RPG Gets Sequel

posted on by Karen Ressler
Game's global edition shipped in Japan on Thursday

Kadokawa Games and experience inc. announced on Saturday that they are co-developing a follow-up game to their Demon Gaze PlayStation Vita fantasy dungeon role-playing game. The developers have not yet decided if Demon Gaze 2 (title tentative) will be a direct sequel or a new story.

NIS America released the first Demon Gaze for the PlayStation Vita in North America on April 22 and in Europe on April 25. NIS America describes the story:

The world's western frontier—with a dark shroud covering his memories of the past. The land before him contains many labyrinths that hold both treasure and danger in equal volumes. Without knowing where else to go or what else to do, Oz decides to take up arms in order to hunt down artifacts and eke out a living in this world that feels so new to him. One day, he will have to face his past, but until then, he has no choice but to trust those around him, and in his newfound abilities as a "Demon Gazer"...

Kadokawa Games developed the Demon Gaze fantasy role-playing game for the PlayStation Vita and released the game in Japan last year. The game's "global edition," which included English voices and subtitles, shipped in Japan on Thursday. A manga adaptation by artist Kurono launched in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine in October.
