Witness the Horror of Utgard Castle in Attack on Titan's Latest VR Experience

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The events of Attack on Titan are perfect for virtual reality gaming: high-stakes, heart-pounding action where the player could be eaten alive at any moment. Arcades most recently put players on horseback against the Female Titan while earlier games let players view Eren's titan transformation firsthand.

The newest Attack on Titan virtual reality experience is heading to the "hexaRide" attraction area of the renewed Diver City Tokyo Plaza on December 20. Players will find themselves surrounded on all sides at Utgard Castle, the crumbling setting of Bertolt, Reiner, Connie, Krista, and Ymir's showdown against an ensuing Titan onslaught.

Up to 12 people can witness the Attack on Titan: The Collapsed Tower (Shingeki no Kyōjin: Hōraku no Tō) experience at once with each ride lasting about six minutes. Production I.G produced the attraction with much of the anime's cast reprising their roles. Players will fly through the air alongside the Survey Corps members as they try to survive the night.

After the ride is over, participants can head to the collaboration shop and pick up hexaRide x Attack on Titan apparel and merch.

Attack on Titan: The Collapsed Tower is the second hexaRide attraction to open in the new Diver City Tokyo Plaza. The area debuted Ghost in the Shell Ghost Chaser at the end of October.
