I like how ANN's link-generating algorithm makes it impossible for Richard to mention the name of this show's lead character without it linking to a completely unrelated anime about a baby.

Its a mighty strange current that carried The Swimmers upstream through several water falls.

It took me awhile, and I'm only through Ep 4, but I'm totally loving this! Beelzebub is just chock full of personality, brimming over in his facial expressions and body language and his seiyuu is killing it. Likewise Rao/Shiva. Not so enamored with Thief, though I got a kick out of how long he kept with the Santa suit. And the tank battles were spectacular. This is just so packed with inventive character designs and strategies and twists and I'll stop gushing like a spring now. Very Happy

I'm caught up to Ep 9 now. Why is no one commenting on this? The first arc had a great outcome, all the loose ends tied up perfectly. The current arc is slightly behind it, but I'm still loving this to pieces.

Loved the waterfall waterslide, with everyone joining in.

Considering how super-tuned his senses are, I don't understand how Belz missed the spy drone. Even if it's inorganic, it surely has some mechanism allowing it to fly that his ears could pick up, especially as close as it was to them.

Good point about the strange current that accidentally brought the Swimmers upstream to Forest Land. I still can't quite decide how I feel about them. They're just so weird I can't warm up to them, yet I find them hilarious just the same and don't dislike it at all when they make their opportune appearances.

I also pretty much knew immediately that it wasn't King Jam on stage, but I did keep wondering if they'd drafted some poor soldier or civilian for the role if no one showed up to stop the execution.

Watching this series has been so bittersweet. On the one hand it’s a phenomenal adaptation of one of my favorite manga by Toriyama-sensei. But on the other had it makes me sad knowing that the international release coincided with his untimely death. But so far, I’m loving every moment of it.

Me too. I just wish it were on CR instead of Hulu, since people don't seem to know it even exists. :/

The assault on the Garam was great. Just when you think it's in the bag, bam! Dragon sand worms! The perils and their solutions to those perils are so inventive, at least to my brain. But it just goes to show, you can never go wrong with tanks. Very Happy

I wasn't quite sure if Ann shut down the weapon, or if Muniel had been drawing off its power and getting yeeted through the ceiling was the nail in its coffin. And if I were Belz, I'd have broken that staff when I had the chance. (Unless he can't - did he try to during their first battle? Can't remember.)
