I'm curious -- does this series delve into present-day shrine work and (actual) rituals, or the daily life of shrine maidens much? I get this is a harem romcom at the end of the day but I've always been somewhat on the lookout for a manga or anime series that would shine a light on this topic.

I might be wrong but I remember that the manga does approach the topic a couple of times.

I've heard this is one of the well-regarded successors to Quintuplets as far as Harem Romcoms (especially with sisters) and that it's quite popular, so I'll be sure to check it out!

Been meaning to check this out at some point, so it has been on my radar. Glad to see it's getting an adaptation though so I can just watch it =)

So I won't go past this for spoiler content but they all have a reason to want to respect the shrine and such but also have their own personal desires which is where all the shenanigans involving the girls with the guy go. It's about do the people really want to inherit, I haven't read it in awhile but that's what I came off reading.
